What is GEO? Measure, improve and verify AI visibility

Understand customer questions, choose useful corrections and track observed changes in AI answers.

Karavix Team·Updated

Start with your customers’ questions

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the work of improving a brand’s presence in AI-generated answers. Start with a concrete question: for which customer needs might your business be relevant?

Choose discovery, comparison or decision questions. Specify the brand or location, market and language. A question about a dentist open on Saturdays in Montreal and its French equivalent have separate tracking scopes.

Turn an observation into a next action

A collection provides answers to examine. Check whether they identify the right business, what they claim and which sources are available. Absence from one sample does not establish that a brand is always absent from an engine.

Choose a focused correction supported by those findings: clarify an offer on an existing page, correct inaccurate information or complete a useful answer. Link the work to the evidence that justifies it.

Close the tracking loop

  1. Measure answers within a defined scope.
  2. Choose a correction and approve its exact version.
  3. Verify that the intended change was published.
  4. Compare fresh, compatible observations.
  5. Keep the result to decide the next priority.

Publication establishes that work was completed. A fresh measurement describes observed change. An increase alone does not prove the correction caused it; unchanged and negative outcomes also deserve to be kept.

Where Vix fits

Vix summarizes collected answers on a scale of 100, alongside their scope and coverage. Sources, tracked corrections and comparisons make that reference point useful for decisions.

Tracking with Karavix

The new pilot offer is organized around questions shared across an account. ChatGPT and Perplexity form the weekly base, with two fresh answers per engine at each measurement. An initial diagnosis and monthly review help choose what comes next. Additional engines and frequency options are configured in the signed-in workspace.

There is no universal promise about how soon visibility will improve. Tracking helps establish what was observed, what was corrected and what the next measurements support.
