Perplexity citations: check sources and choose a useful correction
A method to examine answers and references, document a correction and track what changes.
Check what the answer establishes
When an answer contains references, they provide leads to examine. Open the source and check whether it concerns the correct business, supports the cited information and remains accurate.
An observed citation is neither a consistent recommendation nor proof of customer growth. An answer without your name describes that observation within its scope and at its date.
Connect the source to concrete work
Start with existing content. Does your page clearly explain the relevant service? Are the market and locations identifiable? Is important information consistent with your reference facts?
Choose a focused change you can review and verify. This could clarify a service condition, correct opening hours or explain a supported differentiator. Check existing pages before creating more.
Preserve correction evidence
Before the change, keep the question, answer, date and available references. After approval, retain the published version and page address. Verify that the intended passage is actually online.
Publication evidence and subsequent answer changes are separate results. The latter requires fresh, comparable observations.
Tracking in Karavix
Perplexity and ChatGPT are included in the new pilot offer’s base. Questions share account capacity, with a defined language and market for each. Tracking is weekly, with options to extend engines or frequency for selected questions.
The initial diagnosis and monthly review help decide the next priority. A portion of questions can be replaced each cycle while preserving their history.
What if results stay unchanged?
Keep that result. Check the compared scope, response availability and actual publication. An unchanged result may lead you to investigate sources further or choose another priority; it does not justify inventing improvement.
